Q: IS NIAGARA FALLS OPEN?
A: Yes. – The Niagara Falls State Park in Niagara Falls New York USA is open every day of the year. In Niagara Falls Canada, Queen Victoria Park is open for viewing Niagara Falls 24/7/365. The boat rides below Niagara Falls and most seasonal attractions typically close in November and open during late April or early May. Details for all major Niagara Falls attractions are posted below.
Border Crossing: The Rainbow Bridge between Niagara Falls New York USA and Niagara Falls Ontario Canada is open 24 hours a day 7 days a week every day of the year. Typically there are no delays yet you can check current border crossing times beforehand. Proof of vaccination to enter Canada and the use of the “ArriveCan” app is no longer required – effective October 1st 2022. Complete Border Crossing Information.
Fireworks are displayed every night over the Falls during the summer months at 10:00pm. Winter months – Enjoy 8:00p.m. fireworks displays every Friday and Saturday November 12 – December 10 and January 6 – February 20. Enjoy daily fireworks December 16 – January 1, 2023 (excluding Christmas Day). (X)

NIAGARA FALLS NEW YORK USA ATTRACTIONS – December 2022
OPEN: Prospect Point at Niagara Falls State Park in Niagara Falls New York USA is open 24/7/365 for viewing the Falls. The observation tower is open daily seven days a week from 10:00am to 4:30pm. The $1.25 fee to walk out on the observation deck is waived until Spring 2023. The indoor visitor center is closed until May 2023 while a new visitor center is built. A temporary visitor center and public restrooms are available and open to visitors from 9:00am to 5:00pm in parking lot 1. (X)
OPEN: Cave of the Winds – On Goat Island opens at 9:00am daily seven days a week. Tickets for admission are sold only at the ticket window. Current price is $12.00 for adults and $9.00 for youth. Last tickets sold at 4:00pm begining November 1st 2022. (X)
OPEN: Goat Island – Open daily from sunrise until sunset year round. There is no fee to enter Goat Island yet parking is $10.00 per vehicle seven days a week. A pedestrian bridge is always open to Goat Island. Currently open until 8:00pm Sunday through Thursday and until 10:00pm Friday & Saturday.
OPEN: Whirlpool State Park – Open daily from sunrise to sunset. There are no fees for parking.
OPEN: Niagara Falls Aquarium – Open daily seven days a week from 9:00am-3:00pm M-F and until 5:00pm on Sat & Sun. $19.95 adults and $14.95 youth 3-12. Last ticket sold 30 minutes prior to closing. CLOSED CHRISTMAS DAY 12-25-2022. (X)
OPEN: Old Fort Niagara – Currently open Wednesday through Sunday from 10:00am to 4:00pm. Last tickets sold at 3:30pm. Adults $17.00 and $12.00 youth 6-12. Open seven days a week beginning May 30th 2023. (X)
CLOSED: Niagara Scenic Trolley – Is closed. Hours of operation are usually from 9:00am to 7:00pm during the tourism season. Trolley Fee is $3.00 for adults and $2.00 for youth 6-12. Service resumes in April 2023. (X)
CLOSED: Niagara Falls Maid of the Mist – Is closed. 2022 pricing $25.25 for adult $14.75 for youth 6-12. Last day of service is November 6th 2022. The Maid of the Mist will reopen in late May 2023. (X)
CLOSED: Whirlpool Jet Boat – Lewiston location is now closed for the season. Reservations are required. Adults $64.95 Child 6-12 $39.95. Season ended Sunday October 23rd. 2023 season typically starts in late May or early June. (X)
NIAGARA FALLS ONTARIO CANADA ATTRACTIONS – December 2022
OPEN: Table Rock Visitor Centre / Journey Behind the Falls – Open daily from 10:00am until 5:00pm and 6:00pm on Saturdays and Sundays during the month of December. Tickets for Journey Behind the Falls: Adults $23.50 – youth 6-12 $15.50. Please arrive at least one hour before closing. (X)
OPEN: Greg Frewin Theatre – Open for performances and dinner shows Thursdays, Fridays and Saturdays during most dates in December. Closed December 24, 25th & 26th. Reservations are highly recommended. Walk-ins are welcome on a first come first served basis. (X)
OPEN: Niagara Parks Power Station – Open seven days a week 10:00am to 5:00pm. Closed December 25th. Self guided tours – Adults $28.00 Child 6-12 $18.25. Please arrive at least one hour before closing. (X)
OPEN: ZipLine Niagara Falls– Is now open seven days a week. Current hours: 11:00am to 5:00pm Sunday through Thursday and open from 11:00am to 7:00pm Fridays, Saturdays and Sundays. Last day of service for 2022 is December 3rd. Fee: $69.99-$99.99. (X)
CLOSED: Hornblower Niagara Cruises – Boat Ride Below the Falls is now closed for the season. They operate seven days a week during the months of May through November typically from 9:00am until 8:00pm. Adults: $32.75 Child: $22.75. Last day of service was November 27th 2022. (X)
CLOSED: Whirlpool Jet Boat Ride – Queenston location is closed for the season. Reservations are required. Adults $73.95 Child 6-12 $44.95. The 2023 season typically starts in late May or early June.(X)

A Niagara Parks Parking pass is $26.50 per day and valid at all Niagara Parks parking areas.
