Q: IS NIAGARA FALLS OPEN?

A: Yes. – Niagara Falls State Park in Niagara Falls New York USA is open every day of the year for viewing the Falls. In Niagara Falls Canada, Queen Victoria Park is open for viewing Niagara Falls 24/7/365. The boat rides below Niagara Falls and most seasonal attractions typically close for the season in late October and reopen during the months of April and May. Details for all major Niagara Falls attractions in both the US & Canada are posted below.

Border Crossing: The Rainbow Bridge between Niagara Falls New York USA and Niagara Falls Ontario Canada is open 24 hours a day every day of the year. Typically there are no delays yet you can check current border crossing times beforehand

The nightly Illumination of the Falls will begin at 6:30pm and operate until 2:00am October 1st to October 31 2024.   (X)

Fireworks are displayed every night over the Falls until October 14th at 10:00pm. The nightly six minute fireworks displays began May 17th and continues through October 14th 2024.   (X).


NIAGARA FALLS NEW YORK USA ATTRACTIONS – October 2024

OPEN: Prospect Point at Niagara Falls State Park in Niagara Falls New York USA is open 24/7/365 for viewing the Falls. The new Niagara Falls Welcome Center is now open daily from 8:30am until 6:00pm seven days a week during October. The $1.25 fee to walk out on the Falls Observation Deck is waived for those riding on the Maid of the Mist. Observation Deck hours are from 8:30am to 6:00pm. Parking is $10.00 per vehicle Mon-Thu & $15.00 Fri-Sun at all parking locations. Beginning October 14th 2024 parking at all locations is reduced to $10.00 per vehicle seven days a week. (X)

OPEN: Niagara Falls Maid of the Mist – Is now open daily from 9:00am-5:00pm seven days a week. 2024 pricing $28.25 for adult, $17.75 for youth 6-12, <5 free. Last tickets are sold 30 minutes prior to closing.   (X)

OPEN: Goat Island – Open daily from sunrise until 8:00pm year round. There is no fee to enter Goat Island yet there is a fee for parking. The pedestrian bridge is always open to Goat Island and there is no fee to cross. 

OPEN: Cave of the Winds – On Goat Island opens at 9:00am daily seven days a week and closes at 4:00pm. Closes at 6:00pm through October 14th. Tickets are $21.00 adult & $17.00 youth 6-12, <5 free. Tickets can be purchased at the ticket window or the new Welcome Center at Prospect Point Park.    (X)

OPEN: Niagara Scenic Trolley – Open from 9:00am until 5:00pm during the month of October. Fee is $3.00 for adults and $2.00 for youth 6-12, <5 free . (X)

OPEN: Whirlpool Jet Boat – Lewiston location is open October 2nd-6th, October 9th-13th and October 18th-20th. Closed for the season beginning October 21st. Tours at 1:00pm. Reservations are required. Adults $65.95 Child 6-12 $39.95. < discount available.   (X)

OPEN: Niagara Falls Aquarium & Great Lakes 360 Opens everyday at 9:00am and is open until 4:00pm Mon-Thu and until 5:00pm on Fri, Sat & Sun. $25.00 adults, $18.00 youth 3-12, <2 free. Last tickets sold 30 minutes prior to closing. Parking is $5.00. Advance ticket sales are preferred and available from www.aquariumofniagara.org.      (X)

OPEN: Whirlpool State Park – Open daily from sunrise to sunset. There are no fees for parking. Niagara Gorge trails are open but please use caution. 

OPEN: Niagara Power Vista (hydro-electric plant) – Now open seven days a week from 9:00am to 5:00pm. No fee to visit and free parking is available.    (X)

OPEN: ArtPark in Lewiston NY – The 2024 live entertainment concert series is over for the season and will resume in May 2025. The park is always open to visitors year round for viewing the Niagara River and the Niagara Gorge. Parking fees are only charged for concerts/performances.   (X)

OPEN: Hydro Power Plant Ruins – Open daily 7:30am to 5:00pm seven days a week during October. Free parking and no entry fees.  (X)

OPEN: Old Fort Niagara – Old Fort Niagara is now open 10:00am to 4:00pm seven days a week until October 14th. Closed on Mondays & Tuesdays thereafter. Last tickets sold at 3:30pm. Adults $20.00 and $12.00 youth 6-12, <5 free. Free parking. *You may be charged to enter the State Park but the fee will be deducted from your ticket purchase. Be sure to save your receipt.    (X)

Parking at any of the NY State Parks in Niagara Falls NY is currently $10.00 per vehicle Mon-Thu & $15.00 Friday-Sunday. Credit Cards only.  (X) (X)

NIAGARA FALLS ONTARIO CANADA ATTRACTIONS – October 2024

OPEN: Queen Victoria Park in Niagara Falls Ontario Canada is open 24/7 for viewing the Falls. During the prime tourism season you can try the Queen Victoria Place Restaurant which is open daily until Saturday October 19th.   (X)

OPEN: Table Rock Visitor Centre / Journey Behind the Falls – Open daily Mon-Fri from 9:00am until 7:00pm and until 8:00pm on Sat & Sun. Tickets for Journey Behind the Falls-Adults $25.00 – Child 3-12 $16.50. Please arrive at least one hour before closing.   (X)

OPEN: Greg Frewin Theatre – Open for performances and dinner shows every Wednesday, Friday & Saturday during the month of October. See the full list here. Reservations are recommended. Use promo-code NFLIVE for discount. Walk-ins are welcome on a first come first served basis.  (X)

OPEN: Niagara Parks Power Station & Tunnel Tour – Open seven days a week from 10:00am to 8:00pm during October. Self guided tours – Adults $32.00 – Child 3-12 $21.00 <2 free. Please arrive at least one hour before closing.    (X)

OPEN: Hornblower Niagara City Cruises – Boat Ride Below the Falls is open every day from 9:30am to 5:30pm during October.  Boats typically depart every 15-20 minutes. 2024 rate: Adults: $33.50 Child 3-12: $23.50.(X)

OPEN: Whirlpool Aero Car – Is open from 10:00am to 5:00pm daily seven days a week.  Adults $19.00 Child 3-12 $12.50. Plenty of parking usually available. Please arrive at least 30 minutes before closing.   (X)

OPEN: White Water Walk –  Hours are 10:00am to 5:00pm seven days a week. Adults $19.00 – Child 3-12 $12.50. Arrive at least one hour before closing.   (X)

1. “ADVENTURE PASS CLASSIC” includes: Journey Behind the Falls, White Water Walk and 2 day WEGO transportation pass. Adults $64.00 & Youth 3-12 $42.00.

2. “FALLS PASS” includes: Journey Behind the Falls, Power Station & Tunnel Tour, White Water Walk, Whirlpool Aero Car, 2 days of access to WEGO transportation and two days access to the Falls Incline Railway. Adults $84.00 & Youth 3-12 $55.00.

3. “ADVENTURE PASS PLUS” includes: Journey Behind the Falls, Niagara Parks Power Station and Tunnel Tour, Whitewater Walk, Whirlpool Aero Car, Butterfly Conservatory, Floral Showhouse, 3 day Incline Railway, 3 day WEGO transportation, Niagara-on-the-Lake shuttle. The above passes can be purchased at any attraction ticket window at a higher price or you can buy in advance at the above pricing and save. Advance purchase does not include any reserved time for your admission. All admissions are first come first served.
