The boat rides below Niagara Falls and most seasonal attractions typically open during late April or early May. Details for all major Niagara Falls attractions are posted below.
Border Crossing: The Rainbow Bridge between Niagara Falls New York USA and Niagara Falls Ontario Canada is open 24 hours a day 7 days a week every day of the year. Typically there are no delays yet you can check current border crossing times beforehand. Complete Border Crossing Information.
The nightly Illumination of the Falls is from 8:00pm until 2:00am every evening during August 2022. (X)
Fireworks will be displayed every night over the Falls at 10:00pm beginning Friday May 20th and run through Monday October 10th 2022. (X) (X)
NIAGARA FALLS NEW YORK USA ATTRACTIONS – August 2022
OPEN: Prospect Point at Niagara Falls State Park in Niagara Falls New York USA is open 24/7/365 for viewing the Falls. The observation tower is open daily from 9:00am to 7:00pm seven days a week. Currently there is a $1.25 fee to walk out on the observation deck. The indoor visitor center is closed until May 2023 while a new visitor center is built. A temporary visitor center and public restrooms are available and open to visitors in parking lot 1. (X)
OPEN: Cave of the Winds – On Goat Island opens at 9:00am daily, seven days a week. Tickets for admission are sold only at the ticket window. Current price is $19.00 for adults and $16.00 for youth. Last tickets sold at 8:15pm Sunday-Friday and 9:15pm on Saturdays. (X)
OPEN: Whirlpool Jet Boat – Lewiston location is now open for the season. Reservations are required. Adults $64.95 Child 6-12 $39.95. Season typically ends in early October. (X)
OPEN: Goat Island – Open daily from sunrise until sunset year round. There is no fee to enter Goat Island yet parking is $10.00 per vehicle Monday-Thursday & $15.00 Fri/Sat/Sun. Currently open until 8:00pm Sunday through Thursday and until 10:00pm Friday & Saturday.
OPEN: Niagara Falls Maid of the Mist – Is open for the season. Current hours 9:00am to 7:30pm seven days a week. Current price: $25.25 for adult $14.75 for youth 6-12. (X)
OPEN: Niagara Scenic Trolley – Is open. Hours of operation are currently from 9:00am to 9:30pm Sunday-Thursday and until 10:30pm on Friday & Saturday. Trolley Fee is $3.00 for adults and $2.00 for youth 6-12. (X)
OPEN: Whirlpool State Park – Open daily from sunrise to sunset. There are no fees for parking.
OPEN: Niagara Power Vista (hydro-electric plant) – Now open seven days a week from 9:00am to 5:00pm. No fee to visit and free parking is available. (X)

OPEN: Table Rock Visitor Centre / Journey Behind the Falls – Open daily from 10:00am until 6:00pm and 8:00pm on Fridays, Saturdays and Sundays during the month of August. Tickets for Journey Behind the Falls: Adults $23.50 – youth 6-12 $15.50. (X)
OPEN: Whirlpool Jet Boat Ride – Queenston location is now open for the season. Reservations are required. Adults $73.95 Child 6-12 $44.95. Season usually ends in early October.(X)
