Lighthouse was not open....but......free parking and a quick walk around was available.
We arrived too late to tour the lighthouse but did stop and get a few photos of it in the waning light. It is a stately building that has changed a bit over the years or should I say centuries. There is a placard out front which gives some history behind the place.
The visitor center and lighthouse are in the same parking lot, the fort is entered through the visitor's center
We went here on our trip to Niagara Falls and we were so glad we did. So much history and beautiful views. The guide was really friendly and willing to answer any questions we had.
