After years of wondering why no one ever built
an ice rink near the Falls, it has finally become a
reality. Since it is below freezing about three months of the year why
not take advantage of it and give our visitors something really fun to
do. Quote: A new public skating has opened "a stone's throw
from the brink of the
Horseshoe Falls," say organizers of the Niagara Falls Winter Festival
of Lights.
The
outdoor Rink at the Brink, two-thirds the size of an NHL rink, is
located across from the newly renovated Table Rock Centre and offer
excellent views of the Falls. It is open
daily between
10 a.m. and 10 p.m. from Nov. 23 to Feb. 28. Skates will be
available for rent, and skating lessons will also be offered. Admission without
skate rental is $8 for adults, $5.75 for children. "It's going
to be a huge hit with both local residents and visitors to Niagara
Falls," said festival chair Joe Miszk.

| If we could
recommend any one attraction that is a "must try" during the
tourist season we would have to
recommend the Whirlpool Jetboat
Tours. It's truly a one of kind adventure for
everyone. If you don't mind getting soaking wet, it's better than any
e-ticket ride at Disney. And if you don't want to get wet, they now offer
the "Jet Dome" for those looking for a more relaxed site seeing tour on
the Niagara River. Visit their page for a great discount
coupon and more information.
