	The Maid of the Mist is now open for the season. White Water Walk is open. Cave of the Winds opened May 1st. Whirlpool Jetboat Tours is now open for business. The fireworks schedule has not been released. Once we receive it we will post it here. Nik Wallenda will walk a tightrope over Niagara Falls on June 15th. The

	Nik Wallenda will be preparing for his tightrope walk over Niagara Falls from Saturday May 12th to Tuesday May 22nd at the Seneca Niagara Casino & Hotel on Third Street. You can watch Wallenda from 10:30 AM - 12:00 PM and 3:30 PM - 5 PM each day. .Nik Wallenda will walk over Niagara Falls on June 15th 2012. 	One of the worlds most famous attractions the Maid of the Mist boat ride will see a new operator in 2014. The Ontario Ministry of Tourism put the contract out to bid over a year ago and six different companies submitted proposals. Hornblower Canada was the selected company to take over the operation. There will be no interruption of services. We're greatly anticipating the new operator and wish them all the best.

Niagarafallslive.com installed the first high quality streaming webcams of Niagara Falls in 2011. It's been a tremendous success and we thank you for visiting our website. For 2012 we have purchased equipment to enable a completely mobile broadcast. We will occasionally be broadcasting live with close ups of the Falls and other attractions. Be sure to check back for our schedule of live broadcasts and their locations.

There is a lot of misinformation regarding crossing the border into Niagara Falls Canada and returning to the United States. Adults age sixteen and over require a passport or passport card ($110.00 & $55.00). Children under the age of sixteen are required to provide their original birth certificate. Even with enhanced security at the international bridges, crossing times are minimal with no delays except on holidays. More information on identification requirements can be found here.

	Local photographer Matthew Wartman produced a great two minute video of the Falls using time lapse photography. We've purchased the rights to it so you can view it directly from our site anytime you like! Be sure to view it using the "full screen" mode.

	Calling all photographers....we're having another photo contest! If you have a great photo of Niagara Falls submit it for your chance to win up to $1,000.00 US dollars in prize money. Niagara Falls Fallsview hotels sell out quickly for weekends. If you are not restricted by travel dates, rates are lower for stays during Sundays through Thursdays. 	On the U.S. side of Niagara Falls a new TGI Friday's just opened at the Sheraton at the Falls on Third Street. The food is great, the servers are fantastic and best of all the prices are tourist friendly. The hotels new owners are looking to provide a first class stay for visitors. It's great to see some investment being made on the New York side of Niagara Falls. Our hats are off to the DiCenzo family for their efforts!
	The new Jimmy Buffett Margaritaville restaurant is serving up some delicious food at their new location in Niagara Falls Canada. It's located at the top of Murray Street near the Fallsview Casino. Stop in for a cheeseburger in paradise and buy some great souvenirs to take home!

It's always Summer at the Fallsview Waterpark. Featuring fifteen slides, a surfing-themed AquaPlay area called Calypso Beach, several swimming pools and a wave pool. The Bird Aviary on the Canadian side known as "Bird Kingdom" is beautiful. An interesting mix of exotic birds in a rainforest setting is a pleasure for all age groups.

This years entertainment schedule brings a host of top talent from around the country. If we could recommend any one attraction that is a "must try" during the tourist season we would have to recommend the Whirlpool Jetboat Tours. It's truly a one of kind adventure for everyone. If you don't mind getting soaking wet, it's better than any e-ticket ride at Disney. And if you don't want to get wet, they now offer the "Jet Dome" for those looking for a more relaxed site seeing tour on the Niagara River.
